About the role
- Printpack Rigid is seeking a candidate to fill an Extrusion Technician position in our Williamsburg, VA Facility on night shift.

Responsibilities
- Perform basic operator Preventative Maintenance (PM) to avoid shutdowns.
- Set dials and controls on machine to create products of correct size and thickness.
- Identify machine issues and quickly resolve malfunctions to maintain production schedules.
- Maintain compliance with safe handling procedures to prevent accidents and spillage.
- Read and follow production schematics to produce products in line with design and manufacturing standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 1 year experience operating heavy machinery or equipment.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection, safety glasses, hairnet, uniforms, and steel-toed shoes )
- Required:
- Mechanical ly incline d.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A bility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays (36/48 weekly shift), as needed.
- Preferred:
Nice to have
- Previous e xperience working with Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts.
- Previous experience using industry standard tools (pneumatic and electrical)
- Previous experience with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Inventory Managing Software
