Responsibilities
- Support the deployment and operation of GFiber's FTTH build in a metropolitan area. Assist the Head of Metro Technical Operations in leading all Deployment and Operational team members within a metropolitan area.
- Ensure alignment between various parts of the customer network deployment from design all the way to service delivery. Ensure the best local network is designed, built, and maintained with speed and within business goals.
- Lead and manage GIS, network planning, engineering design cycles, permitting, proposals, bids, scope definitions and approvals for FTTH to Single Family Units (SFUs), Multi Dwelling Units (MDUs), Single Business Units (SBUs)
- Experience developing requests for proposals (RFPs), scheduling projects, cost engineering, budgeting and forecasting costs, reporting project status and costs, procurement and consulting with contractors and vendors.
- Knowledge of inside and outside plant fiber optic network infrastructure, and engineering design and construction.
Requirements
- It will require substantial knowledge of our industry and willingness to learn much more.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with fiber network deployments, outside and inside plant fiber infrastructure.
- 5 years of experience leading teams and vendor management.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting costs, project reporting, capacity planning, quality assurance, equipment turn-up, testing and acceptance.
- MBA or Master's degree in Technology.
- Experience with GIS, CAD, and interpreting complex fiber test results.
Compensation
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $138,000 - $151,000 + bonus + benefits.
