Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and appropriate inventories of medications and supplies and complete inventory audits, such as cycle counts and nursing unit inspections.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, and document regulatory requirements such as temperature logs, scheduled activities and training.
- Ability to perform algebraic calculations necessary for the preparation of extemporaneous compounds

- The Pharmacy Technician - Oncology supports sterile compounding operations within a specialized inpatient infusion pharmacy, preparing medications that are essential to the care of patients across multiple service lines.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate with other caregivers and patients in an effective and positive manner
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Nice to have
- Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
- CPhT through the PTCB is required within 18 months of hire
- Six months of hospital experience
