About the role
- Guggenheim Securities ("GS") is seeking experienced Vice Presidents and Associates to join its Consumer, Retail & Restaurant Investment Banking Group in New York.
- The Consumer, Retail, and Restaurant Group at Guggenheim Securities is one of the leading practices on Wall Street with significant opportunities to continue growing the group.
- Our team has a proven track record advising clients on M&A, equity and debt capital raising and liability management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee financial and accounting analyses and help identify, research, and analyze M&A and financing opportunities
- Analyze and manage the analysis of market trends, competitive landscapes, and publicly traded company financials in order to identify potential client solutions and new market opportunities
- Develop and monitor the development of complex financial models for a broad range of corporate finance alternatives
- Build and develop relationships with clients through ongoing engagement and demonstration of financial and industry knowledge
- Lead day-to-day project management and oversee execution on a range of advisory and financing transactions
- Perform financial and valuation analysis using both industry standard and proprietary models
- Help lead deal pitches including idea generation
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
- SIE Exam, Series 79 and Series 63 must be acquired within 150 days of employment

- Significant level of maturity and the ability to work as a team interfacing top company executives and senior management
- Highly organized project captain capable of managing high velocity processes
- Effective communicator - verbal, written, and virtual
- Agile leader that can exercise sound judgment under pressure
- Curious and resourceful business person with strong understanding of accounting and finance
- Teaching orientation with strong desire to mentor and train junior teammates. ability to be player-coach as needed
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Sell-side advisory experience is a plus
Compensation
- Annual base salary between $175,000 and $250,000.
- The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position.
- The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
