About the role
- Veterinary Surgical Specialists of Orange County (VSSOC) is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery & Anesthesia team.
- This role is ideal for an RVT who enjoys working closely with board-certified surgeons and takes pride in delivering exceptional perioperative and anesthetic care.
- In this position, you will play a vital role in surgical nursing, anesthesia induction and monitoring, and patient recovery, supporting a wide variety of specialty procedures in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately calculate, administer, and manage anesthetic and analgesic medications
- Maintain sterile technique and assist with surgical scrubbing, gowning, and gloving
- Place and maintain IV catheters, arterial lines, and urinary catheters as needed
Requirements
- Active California RVT license (or ability to transfer from out of state)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician
- Prior experience in surgery and anesthesia required
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. All current positions require the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
- Additional fluency in other languages is preferred but not required.
Compensation
- $27.00 - $34.00 per hour, dependent on experience
