Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of Forgen's EHS Program on assigned projects.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing project HASPs and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
- Support new hire orientations, project-specific safety training, and toolbox talks.
- Perform inspections of fire extinguishers, ladders, harnesses, and other safety-related equipment.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Construction, or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant safety experience in civil, environmental, industrial, or heavy construction environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- As required by project assignment
Nice to have
- 30-Hour OSHA Construction
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER (or ability to obtain)
- Competent Person trainings
- EM385-1-1 familiarity
- BCSP progress (e.g., STS, CHST, or equivalent)
- Physical Demands & Work Environment
- This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, extended standing or walking on project sites, climbing in and out of equipment, and working in confined spaces or at heights.
- Work conditions and demands may vary, with possible exposure to heavy machinery, chemicals, dust, fumes, noise, and extreme weather.
