Responsibilities

  • The Director of Family Office Services will lead the ongoing management of Cambridge Associates' Family Office Services team within the Private Client Practice.
  • This individual will be responsible for executing the team's mission to serve as a partner and resource across a range of family office services and solutions, including family office design, governance, legacy planning, and advisory services.
  • The Director will also oversee partnerships with external providers to deliver a full spectrum of family office and family administration services to clients and prospects.
  • Effectively partner with client leads to market and deliver on Cambridge's value proposition regarding family office services and solutions.
  • Establish and maintain a robust operating model for the team, including service delivery standards, workflows, and performance metrics.
  • Design and implement an evolving range of in-house family office services, which may include:
  • Family office design and governance structure
  • Develop and manage relationships with external service providers (e.g., tax, legal, trusteeship, accounting, concierge, real estate, specialty asset management).
  • Oversee the vetting, selection, and ongoing evaluation of third-party partners to ensure quality and alignment with client needs.

Requirements

  • 10 + years of experience in family office services, private wealth management, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in family office design, governance, legacy planning, and advisory.
  • Strong network of relationships with external service providers (tax, legal, accounting, etc.).
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and client relationship skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business development acumen and commercial sensibility.
  • Strong skills in project management and operational excellence
  • High ethical standards and commitment to client confidentiality.
  • Base salary range for this role:

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • relevant advanced degree (JD, MBA, CPA, CFP, or similar) strongly preferred.

Compensation

  • 181500 Pay Range Maximum:
  • In addition to the listed salary range, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package.
  • Actual placement within the stated salary range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity.
