Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage contractor work BOP and turbine repair
  • Manage O&M building janitorial tasks, including trash removal and cleanliness.
  • Engage/monitor workers employed at the site for seasonal tasks. Manage workload. Develop a list of appropriate tasks to be addressed by temporary labor.
  • Perform (or cause to be performed) site maintenance, including without limitation:

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate must have strong leadership ability, including the ability to develop, educate, and ensure the safety of others.

Nice to have

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Equipment operator preferred
  • High voltage training

Skills

  • O & M management skills
  • Understanding general workplace safety and the ability to follow safety standards and help the company improve upon the standards in place.
  • Ability to excel in a collaborative, cross-functional, and geographically diverse organization.
  • Excellent hands-on abilities with strong technical skills
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations
  • Demonstrates proactive enthusiasm for solving problems and adding value to the company.
  • Communicates openly and honestly and does not engage in gossip.
  • Models professional behaviors of conduct and etiquette.

Compensation

  • Employees in this role are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage, wellness benefits, and an annual bonus opportunity based on company and individual performance.
  • In addition, AES provides generous paid time off, including 22 days (176 hours) of PTO per year, plus 13 paid company holidays.
