About the role
- Actuarial exams are encouraged but are not a requirement for this position.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Management, Research & Development, Marketing, and Finance teams to evaluate the impact of external market and environmental changes on business performance and strategic initiatives.
- Provide leadership in developing pricing indications and targets while enhancing the efficiency, transparency, and quality of actuarial analyses.
- Lead actuarial analyses, including trend selections, rate indications, and rate filing support.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members while gaining valuable leadership and supervisory experience.
- This role offers a meaningful opportunity to develop subject matter expertise across lines of business with unique risks, complications, and opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 7 years of relevant actuarial, pricing, analytics, or related experience.
- Working knowledge of actuarial pricing principles and methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Required Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated experience conducting statistical analyses and applying quantitative and qualitative methods to solve business problems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities.
- Work Arrangement:
- This position may be performed as:
- A hybrid role based in the Bethesda, MD office, or
- A fully remote position within the United States.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

- Compensation will be determined based on factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
Compensation
- $100,450.00 - $212,175.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline.
- Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
