Assist in the setup, preparation and daily operations of the various Molecular instruments in Cytology and moving of the results to our LIS.
Extensive and manual specimen manipulation, pipetting, and molecular detection methods, and post-analytical work such as data analysis, quality control and documentation of results.

Performs specialized laboratory tests and procedures in the cytology molecular division, records results, interprets and analyzes results of molecular tests and procedures.
Sets up, operates and maintains laboratory equipment (ie.
Maintains inventory control of reagents and consumables used in processing.
Helps perform accessioning duties when needed.
Develops and modifies laboratory techniques and procedures.
Performs additional functions incidental to laboratory activities.
Sets up, operates and maintains laboratory equipment.
Oversees and instructs support staff.
Orders and maintains inventory of supplies.
May photograph specimens and other matter and develop film.

or four years of related work experience and an Associate's degree, or little or no work experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field
Required Skills and Abilities 1.
Computer skill and experience with CoPath and EPIC.
These may include vaccinations, tests, or examinations, as required by law, regulation, or university policy.

Preferred Skills and Abilities Experience with SurePath and Thin Prep Processing and Imaging Systems.
