About the role
- The purpose of the Welder/Fitter position is to fabricate, fit, assemble, and weld metal components and assemblies according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- The Welder/Fitter will interact with all levels of the organization including supervisors, engineers, quality personnel, and fellow production employees.
- This role is currently vacant and is being filled due to an existing position becoming available.
Responsibilities
- Maintain dimensional accuracy using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares
- Maintain accurate completion of work orders and related documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, free of potential hazards
- Adhere to office safety procedures, including emergency evacuation routes, fire drills, and building safety protocols
- This role supports manufacturing by ensuring structural integrity, dimensional accuracy, and timely completion of welded assemblies while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes as required
- Perform rework or repairs as required to meet specifications
- Adhere to the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the role
- Proficiency in MIG welding required
Nice to have
- Certified or experienced Fitter/Welder preferred
