About the role

  • FACILITIES Rocket Lab's Facilities team is responsible for maintenance, operations, and improvements projects across our locations, making sure that the facilities our teams use every day are well looked after and operating as they should.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrade of building electrical systems (120V-480V, 3-phase systems).
  • Support equipment installations including procurement, layout planning, power drops, disconnects, and final energization.
  • Manage electrical work orders through JIRA and prioritize based on production impact and safety risk.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with NEC, OSHA, and local building code requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED OR 12+ years of experience in electrical maintenance in lieu of diploma.
  • Experience with facilities systems and improvement projects.
  • High School Diploma, GED OR 14+ years of experience in electrical maintenance in lieu of diploma.
  • 8+ years of electrical maintenance experience in any of the following industries: aerospace, automotive, medical device, or a heavily regulated manufacturing facility.
  • 10+ years of electrical maintenance experience in any of the following industries: aerospace, automotive, medical device, or a heavily regulated manufacturing facility.

Nice to have

  • Licensed electrician or certified electrical professional is highly preferred.
  • Experience with managing a cleanroom.
  • Capable of solving complex problems with little to no supervision in a timely manner.
  • Work in environments with electrical hazards, chemical exposure, temperature variations, and noise
  • Wear required PPE as assigned, which may include safety glasses, gloves, respirators, and/or other protective clothing for extended periods
  • Move between buildings, labs, and work areas, as needed
  • Lift, carry, push and pull materials and equipment up to 25 pds unassisted
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts as operational needs require

Benefits

  • Install and modify conduit systems; proficiently bend conduit from ½" to 1 ¼" using manual tube benders (EMT preferred; rigid and flexible conduit experience a plus).
