About the role
- Construction Estimator - Multi-Family Plumbing Who are We Titan Mechanical is a growing HVAC and plumbing contractor specializing in multi-family residential construction across the DMV area.
- This position reports to the Director of Estimating and provides detailed, reliable estimates while adhering to Titan Mechanical's estimating standards and procedures.
- Success in this role means producing high-quality estimates, supporting a strong bid-win rate, and contributing to profitable project execution.
Nice to have
- Solicit, evaluate, and compare vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure accurate and competitive bids
- Level bids to ensure completeness and adherence to project scope
- Prepare and submit bid packages on schedule, including detailed documentation
- Provide input on constructability, value engineering, and cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure estimates comply with plumbing codes and regulatory requirements
- Assist project teams during turnover by providing clear scope documentation and cost details
- 3-10 years of estimating experience in plumbing or mechanical system
- Strong background in multi-family residential projects preferred
Skills
- Knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards relevant to multi-family construction
- Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software (e.g., QuoteSoft, Bluebeam, or similar)
- Working knowledge of BIM/Autodesk tools is a plus
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Word
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents accurately
- Skilled at managing multiple bids and deadlines effectively
- Adherence to Titan Mechanical's estimating standards and procedures
- Demonstrate a collaborative, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Industry certifications are a plus
