About the role
- Bristow is the world's largest operator of the S‑92, AW189, and AW139, all of which form the backbone of its offshore energy fleet.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspection, maintenance, modification, and repair of Bristow rotor‑wing aircraft-including airframe, dynamic components, engines, and associated systems-in accordance with Bristow's approved manuals, manufacturer documentation, and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (Part 135).
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule maintenance activities for GoA 135 aircraft in collaboration with the Lead AMT, considering workflow, tooling, parts availability, operational tempo, and mission priority typical of Gulf of America offshore support operations.
- Maintain the field base environment in compliance with Bristow's safety, cleanliness, and housekeeping standards, ensuring a safe and mission‑ready work area for Gulf operations.
- Maintain Ground Support Equipment (GSE) used at Gulf bases to Bristow standards, ensuring reliable support for daily offshore operations.
- Inspect and verify all incoming parts and consumables immediately upon receipt, including removal of expired or shelf‑life items from inventory to maintain FAA compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned, supporting Bristow's commitment to safe, reliable Part 135 rotor‑wing operations in the Gulf of America.
- Maintain close coordination with the Lead Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) to provide continuous, accurate status of assigned rotor‑wing aircraft, including current discrepancies, upcoming 135‑scheduled maintenance, and anticipated downtime, in alignment with Bristow procedures and operational requirements.
- Maintain all calibrated tools, both company‑owned and personally owned, in accordance with Bristow's calibrated tool tracking requirements for the assigned GOA base.
- These aircraft are widely used in the Gulf of America to support crew changes, long‑range offshore flights, and challenging operational environments typical of the region's oil and gas infrastructure.
Requirements
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment when required
- Communicate directly with pilots and operational crews at each aircraft arrival and departure to ensure accurate exchange of status, discrepancies, and readiness information required for safe Part 135 operations.
Skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Possess sound judgment and objectivity in decision-making
- Proficient in aircraft maintenance, inspection, and repair
- A thorough knowledge of the General Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, and other pertinent information
- Extensive knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions
Compensation
- 🍽️ Daily Per Diem - $50.00 per day (approximately $9,125 per year) while on hitch; tax free
