About the role

  • Appointment of this position is a fixed one-year term, eligible for annual renewal.
  • The primary work location for this position is at the Belknap Campus.

Responsibilities

  • Acquiring and collecting donated and purchased food for the Pantry, completing food drive and routine food pick-ups
  • Ensures food is handled properly according to food safety standards and maintains a safe work environment free of known hazards
  • Serves as lead staff member, ensuring the Pantry is consistently staffed during business hours
  • Provides direction and supports staff, including student workers and volunteers, executing the daily operations of the Pantry
  • Performs other duties and completes special projects as assigned

Requirements

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree and one year working in a professional setting
  • Six months of relevant experience in food collection or distribution
  • Genuine interest in assisting individuals facing food insecurity
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
  • This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a 30-hour regular workweek including occasional evening and weekend hours as required.
  • Additional work hours may be required based on department needs, programming, staffing, and/or scheduling.
