About the role

- We have an exciting opportunity to join our company at our Johnston, Iowa research facility.
- Duties involve operating a tug cart with training and prepping, sorting, moving, and discarding plants.
Responsibilities
- Create activity plans in internal software and determine floor support needs for plant movement.
- Collaborate with process teams and project managers to support successful experiment outcomes.
- Follow and maintain internal process protocols for plant movement.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety/ergonomics protocols are essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and the ability to build competency in external and internal research software as needed.
- Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to work repetitive tasks in a warm, humid greenhouse environment with pollen present year-round.
- What You'll Need:
- Associate's degree or 2-year degree required. Bachelor's degree in agriculture, horticulture, plant physiology, molecular biology, entomology, or plant pathology preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, high self-motivation, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Ability to take initiative and maintain a thoughtful approach in a dynamic work environment.
- Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 30 lbs. Must be able to work repetitive tasks in a warm, humid greenhouse environment with pollen present year-round.
- 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasionally, non-regular weekend or holiday work may be required.

Compensation
- Four weeks of paid time off and two weeks of well-being pay per year, plus paid holidays
