About the role
- The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of, or potential for excellence in, teaching in their field and a commitment to serving the university's diverse adult student body.
- This position primarily works with the Academic Program Director along with other faculty within the program and contributes to ensuring program quality, student engagement, and student success.
- Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on various assessment activities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain appropriate professional training and/or scholarly activities, when applicable.
- Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.
- Lead sessions at clinical placement sites.
- Provide feedback to the course lead regarding the course content.
Requirements
- Must have a current, unencumbered CA Registered Nursing license.
- Terminal degree (Ph.D. in Nursing or DNP) from a nationally accredited or regionally accredited university.
- Experience teaching adult learners.
- Complete required tasks on deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, input for grade appeals, etc.)
- Required:
- A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from a regionally accredited institution.
- At least one year of continuous clinical bedside nursing experience in the public health or community nursing setting, within the last 5 years, or at least one year of clinical teaching experience within the last 5 years.
- Preferred:
- 1+ years of higher education teaching experience in a nursing program.
- Certification in Public Health Nursing (PHN).

- Hourly: $52.84 - $69.81
