About the role
- Total Number of Openings 1 Chevron S&TB - Texas Region Group is accepting online applications for the position of a Mechanic, located in Midland, Texas through August 11th, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (Central Standard Time).
- The Mechanic will assume the responsibility of safely maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment associated with oil and gas production operations and processing.
- This position will have a 4/10 work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Follow safe operating practices as described in the MCBU Safe Practice Manual and maintain a safe working environment
Nice to have
- Associates of Applied Science degree or higher or Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) in Compression, Industrial Maintenance Technology or related mechanical technology discipline
- 2 years current industrial mechanical experience, with emphasis on reciprocating engines, compressors, centrifugal compressors, turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, and generators
- Familiarity with reliability efforts for a variety of safety, environmental and production related issues
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with in a diverse team
- Must be able to read and interpret manuals and other technical materials
