About the role
- ERG offers multidisciplinary teams with nationally recognized skills in engineering, science, economics, public health, informational technology, and communications.
- ERG is seeking a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician with mid- to senior-level experience to assist with facilities projects for a Department of Defense (DoD) client.
- The position is based out of a federal site in Indian Head, Maryland.
Responsibilities
- ERG is a research and consulting firm that provides a wide range of support to federal, state, and commercial clients.
- In this role you will perform HVAC Maintenance support such as, assisting with HVAC installations, routine maintenance, repair and troubles hooting related to mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage controls.
- This position will be full-time at the federal site in Indian Head, MD, and will include interaction and support from ERG personnel at the federal site, as well as from ERG's Fairfax and Arlington offices.
Requirements
- The qualified individual must be highly motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Skills
- At least 2 years of HVAC experience and current Journeyman licensure
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in facilities maintenance, engineering, or a related field preferred
- Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Refrigerant Reclamation and Recovery Certification
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systems
- Be familiar with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) required
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- This position will require a pre-employment physical exam
- This position requires lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds
- You may be required to participate in medical surveillance programs
