About the role
- Work is performed under the general supervision of the Chief Plans Examiner.
- Plans Examiner I - Licensed - C: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate.
- Plans Examiner II - Licensed - C: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate.
Responsibilities
- Plans Examiner Provisional - C: Under supervision, reviews construction plans, specifications, and other technical material submitted to obtain building and other permits to determine compliance with all applicable federal, state, and other construction codes in assigned areas.
Requirements
- Plans Examiner Provisional - C: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and five (5) years of construction-related experience in electrical
- Valid Florida Driver's License required.
- Applicant must obtain a provisional license within 120 days of hire, and the permanent License must be obtained within two (2) years of receiving the Provisional License.
- If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
- Performs other related work as required.
