About the role

  • The Slope Maintenance Department is hiring Apprentice level Mechanics.
  • If you have a solid mechanical and electrical aptitude, we are interested in speaking with you!
  • Our resort operates multiple types of vehicles, including snowcats, snowmobiles, rangers, and trucks.

Requirements

  • 1 year of mechanic coursework
  • Must have basic computer competency
  • Ability to interpret and understand basic documented standards and procedures including work orders and maintenance repair manuals
  • a successful motor vehicle record background check is required
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs at various heights and/or uneven terrain.
  • Must be able to walk on uneven terrain.
  • Must be able to tolerate extreme weather conditions (snow, cold, wind etc.).
  • Must be able to read and write in the English language.

Compensation

  • The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position.
