You'll work at the intersection of mechanical systems and electrochemistry, partnering closely with R&D and test teams to run experiments, resolve process excursions, and troubleshoot formation equipment.

Own process engineering and technology transfer for pilot battery cell formation
Design, build, and iterate on formation fixtures
drive root cause analysis on excursions and novel failure modes
Lead cross-functional teams to implement process resolutions
develop data-driven insights to guide improvement projects
Author and maintain standard operating procedures
Design, build, and iterate on formation fixtures; apply GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure precision and repeatability
Troubleshoot formation equipment hardware and software; drive root cause analysis on excursions and novel failure modes
Collect, analyze, and report process data from database systems; develop data-driven insights to guide improvement projects
Author and maintain standard operating procedures; train technicians on formation operations

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of engineering experience in electrochemical systems, battery manufacturing, or related electromechanical environments
Hands-on experience designing mechanical fixtures. proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD, with working knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up
Experience operating and troubleshooting battery formation/cycling equipment (e.g., Arbin, MACCOR, NEWARE)
Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (JMP, Minitab, or R)
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.
New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)
