About the role

  • Major Duties: Under the direction or absence of the Beet Seed Foreman, this position coordinates the activities of the beet seed crew to complete the daily beet seed processing production plan.
  • Provides work direction and acts as a working team leader supervising and motivating the beet seed processing crew.
  • Under the direction of the Beet Seed Foreman, the Assistant Foreman will organize and record all activities in the Beet Seed Warehouse.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or a GED certificate is required.
  • Individuals are required to take a Basic Skills Test to verify basic skills and knowledge, a Mechanical Aptitude Test and achieve the minimum scores as indicated below:
  • Able to perform basic math calculations with a high degree of accuracy and able to verify accuracy of calculations.
  • An attitude of care with an attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work is required.
  • Must be able to maintain and reconcile inventory records.
  • Must be able to provide work direction and act as a working team leader.
  • Must be able to reference, read and understand how to use MSDS information.
  • Basic Skills Test: Assessment Test Score
  • Able to read, write and communicate effectively.
  • Able to perform basic math calculations with a high degree of accuracy and able to verify accuracy of calculations. An attitude of care with an attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work is required. Basic computer skills to include, but not limited to Excel and Outlook.
  • Mechanical aptitude, able to understand and use beet seed processing principles and procedures. Able to be certified to safely operate and maintain an electric forklift and electric hand pallet jack. Must be able to provide work direction and act as a working team leader.
  • o Current and satisfactory DOT physical examination certification (DOT health card) is required within 10 days of the contingent job award. Must be able to recertify health card and meet all DOT requirements including random drug testing
  • Compensation Range:
