Responsibilities
- Foster and grow strong relationships with partners, brokers, and producers
- Lead product development and refinement initiatives, including plan design and rating methodologies
- Document departmental activities and develop underwriting guidelines and control processes and Partner with Sales, Product, Operations, Compliance, and Actuarial teams to enhance or modify existing products and programs
Skills
- Bachelors degree in a related field, or the equivalent education and /or experience
- Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
- Minimum of five years of experience in Accident & Health Insurance Underwriting preferred
- Excellent analytical skills; demonstrated financial acumen and high attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Advanced proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
