About the role

Direct all field construction activities and personnel to ensure that the assigned project meets budget, schedule and safety objectives

Trains and manages Foremen from various trades and field administrative personnel
Through assigned Foremen, manages the day-to-day activities of the construction operation
In conjunction with the Project Manager, creates and maintains project schedule, plans, monitors and reviews critical path dates and milestone schedules
Supports the Project Manager in the negotiation of claims and changes
Fay, S&B USA Construction builds complex infrastructure across the Mid-Atlantic such as major bridges, tunnels, highways, and P3 programs that demand technical depth and strong field leadership.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to Carry tools and equipment, climb or balance
The employee must frequently work or walk on uneven ground and is required to wear steel toed boots at all times.
Maintains open communication between all subcontractors to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc. support project activities and project schedule

Knowledge of earthwork, grading and drainage work. Trench safety experience is a priority.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents
Effective communication skills
Knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control and ability to control and supervise small to midsized groups
Good organization, multi-tasking, leadership and decision-making ability
Basic computer skills preferred
Knowledge of Machine Control systems.
