About the role
- Work with various contract manufacturers to get cable harnesses and electronic assemblies built and tested.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Systems, Marine, and Software teams to get projects built and out the door.
- Provide clear, concise instructions to technicians for testing and assembly tasks.
Responsibilities
- Our team is designing and building autonomous and highly producible ships that can serve multiple missions on the open ocean.
- As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll work hands-on with the team building the electrical and power systems that make our autonomous vessels operate safely and reliably at sea.
- You'll lead design, integration, and testing of control panels, power distribution, and sensing hardware across our platforms.
- Design of electrical control panels, harnesses, and subsystem interfaces.
- Support integration and testing of power distribution, batteries, converters, and switchgear.
- Create schematics meeting marine and navy requirements.
- Perform bench tests and debug boards, harnesses, and controls.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-10 years' experience in robotics, power, autonomy or similar fields.
- Experience designing and testing to industry/electrical standards.
- Ability to use electrical test equipment safely and train others in electrical safety.
- Experience working on 1000VDC and 480Vac projects.
- Experience programming embedded systems.
Compensation
- $150,000 - $170,000 annual base salary (final compensation will depend on experience and skill level Startup equity options Generous PTO, medical, dental, and vision coverage.
