About the role

  • At Copper, we're reinventing home appliances for an electrified future.
  • Our flagship Charlie range pairs high-performance induction with integrated battery storage to make the switch from fossil fuels a no-brainer.
  • We're a small, fast, collaborative team that ships, learns, and iterates quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Improve CRM integrations. Get our CRM and other third party services into shape so they're easily queryable for our support, sales, and operations teams.
  • Increase team leverage with AI. Architect data flows and LLM-based tools that mechanize common workflows - e.g., product triage, anomaly flagging - across engineering, support, and product.
  • 8+ years building production data infrastructure, ideally at an IoT or hardware company - with strong design fundamentals across backend, event-driven distributed systems, and storage.
  • Experience building production-quality systems with an emphasis on reliability, automated testing, and long-term ownership.
  • Experience building and maintaining LLM-based tools and processes

Requirements

  • Experience with time-series and warehousing (e.g., data modeling, retention, and query performance for fleet data), as well as streaming/ETL pipeline design.
