- The Stage Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of sound stages and on-lot production activities.
- The Stage Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising all activities on the stages to ensure seamless production operations.
Responsibilities
- Strategically recruit, develop, and lead a team of experienced Stage Specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Manage team scheduling with precision to optimize productivity and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Best Practices for stage management.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and stage reports, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for strategic decision-making.
- Deliver world-class client experience by providing proactive communication, anticipating production needs, and maintaining the highest standards of customer service throughout the production lifecycle.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure rigorous compliance with all operational requirements, facilitating seamless integration and execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Theatre, Film, Production Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in film production, demonstrating a robust understanding of industry dynamics.
- Proven track record as a stage manager or in a similar role within studio operations, film, television, or commercial production.
- In-depth knowledge of film production workflows, set protocols, and technical requirements.
- Experience with the technical aspects of stage production, including lighting, sound, and rigging.
- Ability to make quick decisions and pivot at a moment's notice.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Self-starter with a proven track record of driving projects forward independently.
- Familiarity with union regulations and experience working with unionized crews.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Nice to have
- First Aid or safety certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with AirTable is a plus.
