About the role
- Utility Person is an entry level position that provides relief for Operations, Coal Yard, and Storeroom in addition to assisting in Maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Ability to climb ladders, lift and carry heavy loads, perform manual labor
Requirements
- Ability to work shift work
- Ability to work in areas involving heights, enclosed spaces, and near or above water
- Must be available and willing to work fair share of overtime, as requested
- Utility Person must be able to work in a team environment
- Utility Person will be required to train for plant Fire Brigade, Haz-Woper, and Emergency Response team as well as meet the requirements of Vistra's Respiratory Protection Program for these teams
- Previous power plant experience or knowledge
- Previous shift-work experience
- Demonstrate mechanical and/or process abilities
