  • As an Associate Cloud Developer, you'll play an important role in supporting and enhancing BCAA's cloud-native digital platforms built on AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Provide second-line support for cloud-native production applications running on AWS.
  • Perform root cause analysis and contribute to long-term improvements that enhance system reliability.
  • Support the reprocessing and recovery of failed transactions across digital platforms.
  • Develop, test, and deploy backend enhancements, bug fixes, and integration improvements.
  • Collaborate with senior developers, architects, and product teams to design and implement new features.
  • Build and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities for production systems.
  • Support end-to-end validation of digital workflows and customer communication pipelines.

Requirements

  • Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of software development experience with exposure to production support or cloud operations.
  • Proficiency in Node.js or Python for backend development, with Python considered an asset.
  • Experience troubleshooting production issues across cloud services, applications, and integrations.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or other relational databases.
  • Experience working within Agile development environments.
  • Experience developing and supporting cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, and RDS (PostgreSQL).
  • Experience building and supporting RESTful APIs and system integrations.
  • Understanding of event-driven architectures, asynchronous messaging, distributed systems, and DLQ monitoring.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
  • A passion for learning cloud technologies and building reliable, scalable backend systems.
  • Bonus Skills:

Skills

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or higher.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Exposure to JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, and logging tools such as CloudWatch.
  • Experience supporting enterprise integrations across cloud and on-premises systems.

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position is $ 75,363.00 ($41.41/hr) to $ 94,203.84 ($51.76/hr) and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity.
