- As an Associate Cloud Developer, you'll play an important role in supporting and enhancing BCAA's cloud-native digital platforms built on AWS.
Responsibilities
- Provide second-line support for cloud-native production applications running on AWS.
- Perform root cause analysis and contribute to long-term improvements that enhance system reliability.
- Support the reprocessing and recovery of failed transactions across digital platforms.
- Develop, test, and deploy backend enhancements, bug fixes, and integration improvements.
- Collaborate with senior developers, architects, and product teams to design and implement new features.
- Build and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities for production systems.
- Support end-to-end validation of digital workflows and customer communication pipelines.

Requirements
- Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of software development experience with exposure to production support or cloud operations.
- Proficiency in Node.js or Python for backend development, with Python considered an asset.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues across cloud services, applications, and integrations.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or other relational databases.
- Experience working within Agile development environments.
- Experience developing and supporting cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, and RDS (PostgreSQL).
- Experience building and supporting RESTful APIs and system integrations.
- Understanding of event-driven architectures, asynchronous messaging, distributed systems, and DLQ monitoring.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
- A passion for learning cloud technologies and building reliable, scalable backend systems.
- Bonus Skills:
Skills
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or higher.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Exposure to JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, and logging tools such as CloudWatch.
- Experience supporting enterprise integrations across cloud and on-premises systems.
Compensation
- The salary range for this position is $ 75,363.00 ($41.41/hr) to $ 94,203.84 ($51.76/hr) and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity.
