About the role
- Job Description: Patrol Constables are uniform front-line first responders who respond to emergent situations, protect life and property and conduct investigations.
- Patrol Constables commonly work within a trauma exposed environment.
- Patrol Constables work to identify and prevent crime, and apprehend offenders.
Requirements
- Minimum age 19 years
- Uniform position, may include plain clothes work as required
- Conduct Person / Vehicle / Traffic control as required
- No criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted
- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident status
- Possess a valid class 5 BC Driver's License
- Valid Standard First Aid/CPR certificate
Nice to have
- Self-motivated and possess strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to the community through volunteer experience
- Able to work effectively in a solo and team environment
- Ability to effectively communicate and liaise with various community members
