About the role
- Dura Digital is looking for a Business Intelligence consultant who knows that great analytics starts with strong data models.
- As a Senior Business Intelligence Developer and consultant, you'll play a key role in working with our clients designing and maintaining Power BI data models, supporting the migration of Power BI reports from SQL Server to Snowflake.
- You're analytical, curious, and thoughtful about how data models impact downstream reporting and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI data models using best practices for performance, scalability, and usability.
- Lead and support the migration of Power BI reports and data models from SQL Server to Snowflake.
- Partner with data engineering teams to align Power BI models with Snowflake data structures and transformation logic.
- Optimize DAX measures, calculated columns, and model relationships for performance and clarity.
- Support data validation and reconciliation efforts during platform migrations.
- Provide production support for critical BI assets, ensuring reliability and trust in reporting.
- Data design for self-service analytics
- You care deeply about semantic consistency, performance, and usability; and you're passionate about helping organizations deliver effective BI platforms.
- You'll work closely with data engineers, analytics partners, and project stakeholders to ensure trusted, scalable, and high-performing analytics solutions.
Requirements
- You have a university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. or equivalent experience.
- You bring 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, or Data Analytics roles.
- You have deep hands-on experience with Power BI, including:
- You have strong SQL skills and experience working with SQL Server.
- You have experience supporting or leading BI migrations (on-prem to cloud and/or platform-to-platform).
- You have experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments
- You enjoy translating complex project requirements into intuitive, performant BI solutions.
Nice to have
- You've worked with cloud data warehouses, with Snowflake experience strongly preferred.
