About the role

  • This role will work closely with the Finance Director and broader operations team to maintain accurate financial records, support internal reporting, and assist with accounting processes that enable efficient business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enter financial data within QuickBooks and internal accounting systems.
  • Support accounts payable processes including invoice review, coding, and vendor coordination.
  • Prepare and maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting activities.
  • Support budget preparation, forecasting activities, and internal financial analysis.
  • Maintain spreadsheets, tracking systems, and finance-related administrative tools.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the finance organization as needed.
  • Mach Energetics is seeking a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting activities across the organization.
  • Founded in 2022, Mach Industries is a rapidly growing defense technology company focused on developing next-generation autonomous defense platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 0-2+ years of accounting experience including internships or entry-level finance roles.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar systems.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting finance or accounting operations within government contracting, aerospace, manufacturing, or defense environments.
  • Familiarity with DCAA, FAR, or government accounting practices.
  • Experience working with expense reporting, reconciliations, or financial tracking systems.
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or project cost tracking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion when handling financial information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • This position may require access to information protected under U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Compensation

  • The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
