About the role

  • This position will be responsible for leading the indirect tax function for PR.
  • This position will be responsible for indirect tax issues, including but not limited to sale and use tax and ad valorem tax.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of indirect tax experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required (Excel and Word).
  • Ability to prioritize activities and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

  • Quorum and OpenInvoice accounting software experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Skills

  • Responsible for performing managed sales and use tax audits.
  • Evaluate and implement sales and use tax software.
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns.
  • Process and respond to various tax notices, contacting tax authorities when necessary
