Responsibilities

  • Preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and other necessary reporting documents.
  • Own accounts payable operations including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment administration, and vendor statement reconciliations.
  • Maintain vendor records.
  • Maintain prepaid expense, fixed asset, and accrual schedules.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
  • Support the Senior Revenue Accountant with billing, collections, and revenue accounting projects as needed.
  • Maintain accounting records within NetSuite and assist with system improvements and process efficiencies.
  • As the Staff Accountant, you will support the accounting function through ownership of accounts payable, payroll accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities.
  • This is a hands-on position which demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, process orientation, ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to drive financial performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management roles with relevant experience.
  • SaaS experience required.
  • NetSuite experience required.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting.
  • Experience with accounts payable, payroll accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative accounting team.

Compensation

  • Assist with state and local tax registrations, annual reports, business license renewals, and other regulatory compliance filings.
  • Assist with preparation of audit schedules and support annual financial statement audits.
