About the role

  • This position applies engineering principles in soils mechanics, hydraulics, structural theory, and surveying while gaining hands-on field experience.
  • Working closely with project managers, superintendents, and field teams, the Project Engineer I ensures project efficiency, compliance, and quality while upholding Forgen's Core Values and safety culture.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical analysis of the remediation methodologies of various previously remediated projects.
  • Maintaining project record documents.
  • Perform technical review of contract plans and specifications.
  • Manage, interpret, and perform site surveying.
  • Perform additional assignments and special projects as directed.
  • Evaluate risks and effectively resolve challenges, champion safety and deliver exceptional quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in construction or engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic project management software.
  • Perform other administrative or office duties as required or as assigned.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently, prioritize and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and USACE QCS systems.
  • Experience with site surveying using both conventional and GPS methods.
  • Assisting in the development of cost estimates and proposals.
  • Experience with materials procurement and purchasing.
