About the role
- University of Iowa Health Care - Medical Center North Liberty department of Material Services is seeking a Supply Chain Associate who will serve as a liaison for clinics, operating rooms, and other departments throughout the hospital.
- Prompt communication with hospital staff regarding emergencies and requests.
Responsibilities
- Procure and deliver goods and services: Evaluate, procure, receive, store, and deliver goods and services. Initiate requisitions to procure goods and services at the direction of others.
- Organize and maintain hospital inventory.
- Maintain and secure inventory and report issues as needed.
- Data Management or Data Systems Development: Maintain inventory/equipment database(s).
- In addition to world-class orthopedic care, the campus features a full-service community imaging center, laboratory services, physical therapy, a retail pharmacy, an emergency department, and a wide range of support services.
Requirements
- Experience planning, allocating, and mobilizing resources to fulfill or complete a work unit or organizational objective or task.
- Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Ability to effectively multi-task, keeping multiple initiatives moving forward simultaneously.
- Experience with SPM, PeopleSoft, OCRA, Qtrak and Tableau software
- Ability to move throughout hospital, lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, push/pull manual carts on a regular basis, and operate manual and motorized pallet jacks.
Skills
- Responsible for the maintenance of inventory data and scanning.
Compensation
- $40,475 to commensurate
