About the role

  • We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our healthcare team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist, ensuring precision and patient safety throughout the process.
  • This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain radiation therapy machines, ensuring functionality and safety compliance.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatment sessions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field.
  • State licensure (if required by the state).
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or an equivalent credential.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide emotional support to patients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment with attention to detail.
  • Work Environment & Conditions:
  • Outpatient Radiation Services administered weekdays only.
  • Requires standing for extended periods and assisting patients with mobility needs.
  • Regular exposure to radiation, requiring adherence to strict safety protocols.

Skills

  • Prior experience in a clinical radiation therapy setting.
  • Familiarity with different types of radiation therapy techniques, such as IMRT, SBRT, and brachytherapy.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Compensation

  • Our PTO system rolls over annually and continues to accrue up to 2x your annual allotment, plus you can sell up to 40 hours a year.

  • Monitor patients during treatments and report any adverse reactions or concerns to the medical team.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, medical physicists, Dosimetrists and other healthcare professionals to develop and modify treatment plans.
