- Lab Instrumentation & Automation Technician
Responsibilities
- Maintain POLAB systems, automated sampling systems, XRF, XRD, and laboratory testing equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and spare parts inventories.
- Provide after-hours, on-call support to troubleshoot and repair critical laboratory and automation equipment, ensuring minimal downtime for continuous QA/QC operations.
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and related tools.

Skills
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Track downtime, maintenance history, and reliability metrics.
- Interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
- Disassemble, repair, modify, and reassemble laboratory equipment.
- Coordinate fabrication of obsolete or discontinued parts through machine shops.
- Safely utilize hand tools, power tools, and maintenance shop equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Utilize digital multimeters and test equipment to diagnose electrical issues.
- Troubleshoot printed circuit boards and electronic components.
- Support automation systems and laboratory control equipment.
- Coordinate with electrical maintenance personnel for plant-level repairs.
