About the role
- - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- - 5 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
Responsibilities
- Identify security issues and implement and design security controls, tools, and services to improve security systems and processes.
- Define the infrastructure to analyze, deploy, and manage vulnerability management across Google.
- Build a data driven approach to identify existing vulnerabilities to improve the security posture of Alphabet's use of GCP.
- Partner with other security engineers and teams to prioritize and execute on security debt reduction efforts to deliver the team's objectives and key results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
- 5 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
- 5 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
- 1 year of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.
Nice to have
- Experience working with cloud tools like Terraform.
- Experience with GCP.
- Security Engineers work with network equipment and actively monitor our systems for attacks and intrusions.
- In this role, you will also work with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities.
- We work on the problem by keeping Google safe from external attackers, ensuring that exploitable vulnerabilities are detected and closed quickly.
Skills
- The AutoVM Cloud Usage taskforce is responsible for the vulnerability management of Alphabet's GCP usage.
