Responsibilities

  • Perform structural assembly and mechanical integration independently.
  • Perform composite layups, bonding, trimming, and finishing tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and discipline in composite areas.
  • Support line balance and throughput targets.
  • Assist in troubleshooting minor build issues.
  • Ensure builds match approved baseline revisions.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support traceability requirements.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift) while performing assembly and composite fabrication tasks on a production floor.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials, tooling, and aircraft components up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without assistance.
  • Close visual acuity required for detailed inspection of composite surfaces, fiber alignment, bonding quality, and adherence to technical drawings and work instructions, including color differentiation when required.
  • 2-5 years' experience in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, composites, or mechanical fabrication.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings independently.

Skills

  • Frequent use of hands and fine motor skills for precision assembly, composite layup, trimming, bonding, sanding, and finishing operations.
