About the role

  • This is a highly technical, hands-on role.
  • You will be the vital link between our product's architecture and our clients' varied technical landscapes.
  • Traditional analytical techniques built on historical data were not built for this.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute the technical strategy for integrating the Epistemix platform into client environments.
  • Ensure all client-side integration and deployment methods are designed to meet rigorous standards, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001, HIPAA.
  • Develop and use custom automation tooling (Python is a must) to streamline deployment processes, integrating with client-side identity and access management (e.g., OAuth2/OIDC).
  • We build simulation and data-driven modeling tools that let leaders visualize how strategies will unfold across populations and systems before they commit resources.
  • By clarifying which variables drive outcomes, where leverage exists, and how they interact, we help organizations move from uncertainty to conviction.
  • We are approaching our Series B and actively building the team that will define what comes next.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of industry experience, 3+ years of architectural implementation experience
  • Hands on and expert level experience in:
  • Experience with data warehouse integrations with Snowflake, Databricks or other data warehouse platforms.
  • Experience managing and supporting deployments in environments beyond public cloud (e.g., on-premise, private cloud, or dedicated client application environments).
  • Python, Fast API and/or Django
  • Terraform. Additional knowledge of Kubernetes, and Docker highly preferred.
  • AWS infrastructure. General architectural mastery of another major cloud provider (GCP) is highly valued.
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or Public Health
  • Demonstrated experience managing or contributing to organizational compliance programs, specifically the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to HIPAA (HITECH Act) privacy/security rules and achieving SOC 2 attestation

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with the architectural demands of distributed computing libraries (Ray, Modin, Pandas) is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
  • Familiarity with leveraging generative AI tools in engineering workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Devin, Coderabbit).
  • WHY JOIN EPISTEMIX?
  • Meaningful Impact - Apply your creative talents to revolutionize data-driven decision-making and make a real-world difference.
  • Additional knowledge of Kubernetes, and Docker highly preferred.

  • Flexible Time Off - Autonomy to manage your schedule and work-life balance.
  • Health, Welfare and 401(k) Programs - Eligibility for benefits (for U.S. employees).
  • Together, these capabilities let decision-makers stress-test strategies in a controlled environment before deploying them in the real world across healthcare, consumer industries, insurance, and government.
