About the role
- Loenbro is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our engineering team.
- In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager and other project participants as needed by ensuring the success of a project through the technical accuracy of all electrical aspects.
- Our expertise lies in simplifying the complex, so that our clients gain clarity and control in construction and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Project Engineering & Coordinatio n: Cooperate and communicate with the Project Manager and project participants to create efficient project methods and maintain project profitability.
- Document & Quality Control: Maintain and organize all electrical documentation including schematics, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, specifications, change orders, and closeout documentation within Procore tools.
- Planning & Scheduling: Assist PM in developing and maintaining project scheduled using MS Project.
- Support development of Electrical Estimates and Schedule of Values for billing.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation) and pipe stress analysis tools
- Strong understanding of relevant piping codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API).
- Knowledge Skills And Abilities:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in piping design and engineering in industries such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, or power generation preferred, not required.
Skills
- Electrical construction and installation experience necessary
- OSHA and NFPA 70E compliance knowledge required
- Understanding of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and controls
- Knowledge of electrical equipment including switchgear, transformers, and distribution panels
- Diverse background in electrical systems, low voltage, and instrumentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
- Ability to function well in high-paced, stressful environments
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
- 2-3 years of electrical construction experience required
