About the role
- Assists with orthopedic technician training.
- This position will be located in our new Sunset Hills location upon opening.
- Responsible for entering medical equipment appointments.
Responsibilities
- Performs splinting and casting under the direction of an orthopedic physician or resident.
- Performs direct and indirect patient care activities within the scope of practice of an orthopedic technologist, i.e. assisting with dressing changes, suture and staple removal, etc.
- Implements policies and procedures in the clinical offices.
- Performs follow-up patient calls when-needed.
- Understands payor guidelines and implements training of payor guidelines with staff.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
- No specific work experience is required for this position.
- More than one credential, certification or professional license may be required depending on the role.
