About the role
- The Associate Equipment Specialist is a technical position that requires basic technical skills as well as a basic understanding of machining, turning, grinding, and other metalworking fabrication methods.
- Able to work on tasks encompassing complete projects or portions of projects under the guidance of a Senior Equipment Specialist or Management
Responsibilities
- Additionally, this position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and ability and willingness to learn all toolroom machinery as well as CAD design software.
Requirements
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
- This position requires the basic ability to read and interpret blueprints and some knowledge of geometric tolerancing.
- Requires ability to learn and successfully run mills, lathers, saws, drills, and other shop machines.
- Requires ability to solve problems of moderate scope and complexity
- Requires ability to learn materials and which to use to fabricate fixtures and tools
- Requires the ability to juggle priorities to align with the department priorities.
- Ability to do physical work and lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Ability to work under fast-paced conditions
Nice to have
- Assembly experience
- Basic CAD experience
- Basic MasterCam Knowledge
- 1+ year in comparable mechanical position

- High School Diploma, Associate's Degree preferred
