About the role
- The Critical Operations Technician(s) (COT) are Prime Data Center's front line responders for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation.
- Reports to: Critical Facilities Manager Location: Onsite in data center located in north Dallas TX area Available Shifts/Schedules: This role is a non-exempt (hourly) position with eligibility for overtime.
- We are hiring technicians for our existing data center facility in Dallas TX.
Responsibilities
- This equipment includes, but is not limited to, stand-by diesel generators, switchboards/switchgears, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems.
- The COT maintains and follows the processes that maximize customer uptime in the most cost-effective way.
- Ensures that data center problems are identified and repaired quickly, that contractors deliver quality services, and that internal customer demands are met.
- Utilize internal CMMS to manage building workflows and spare part inventory Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance Fully comply with all physical security procedures and policies Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities
Nice to have
- Two or more years of work experience in data center environment or equivalent.
- Background in areas of IT, electrical, and/or mechanical.
