About the role

  • The Crop Insurance Specialist supports AgCentric's policy administration function by reviewing, evaluating, and processing crop insurance applications in accordance with program guidelines and regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge of MPCI policies, attention to detail, and effective communication skills to ensure accurate and
  • timely policy issuance. The Crop Insurance Specialist works closely with agents, insureds, and internal teams to uphold operational integrity and deliver high-quality service.

Responsibilities

  • The Crop Insurance Specialist works closely with agents, insureds, and internal teams to uphold operational integrity and deliver high-quality service.
  • Maintain organized and complete documentation trails for all underwriting actions and communications
  • Support internal control procedures by adhering to established underwriting protocols and flagging potential discrepancies
  • Contribute to cross-functional collaboration with claims, compliance, and accounting teams to support coordinated insurance operations

Requirements

  • This role requires strong technical knowledge of MPCI policies, attention to detail, and effective communication skills to ensure accurate and timely policy issuance.

Nice to have

  • Review crop insurance applications and policy documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and private program guidelines
  • Apply provisions of the Standard Reinsurance Agreement (SRA) and supplemental guidance to daily policy administration duties
  • Assist in policy review and error tracking efforts in coordination with compliance and quality assurance teams
  • Participate in training sessions to stay current on crop insurance regulations, underwriting procedures, and system updates
  • Communicate effectively with agents, policyholders, and internal departments to resolve underwriting issues and ensure smooth policy administration
  • Other underwriting duties and projects as assigned
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience participating in crop insurance underwriting and policy administration procedures
