Responsibilities

  • Part-Time Support
  • Employees who are part-time internal candidates, as defined by the Part-Time Support Collective Agreement, will be given first consideration.

Requirements

  • Three (3) year diploma/degree in Museum Studies, Conservation, Exhibit Preparation, Fine Arts, or equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience
  • Preferably Experience in the cultural/movable Heritage sector, and/or in a lab environment related to the position
  • Hands-on experience with lab setup, modification, and teardown
  • Proficiency in maintaining, using, and supervising a variety of general-purpose and specialized tools, instruments, and equipment
  • Knowledge of safe storage and handling of chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases
  • Strong understanding of lab safety protocols and procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to lab equipment and setup
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff and learners
  • Experience in the cultural/movable heritage sector is an asset

Compensation

  • $40.62-$47.06-Hourly
