About the role
- The Porter also assists in other types of maintenance when necessary.
- Immediately respond to spills or accidents which may present a safety hazard and, if appropriate, place caution signs alerting others to the hazard.
- Monitor and clean all exterior and interior common areas.
Requirements
- Must be a well-organized self-starter
- Employee must have dependable transportation, a valid driver's license, smartphone technology, and proof of auto insurance
- Assist with tracking and communicating inventory levels as required for the products and equipment needed to perform duties.
- Education: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Abilities:
- K nowledgeable of equipment (vacuum, mop, broom, etc.), chemicals, and general protocols used for cleaning
- Prompt and dependable with the ability to maintain a daily cleaning schedule
- Ability to understand and complete directives provided by the manager or lead Maintenance Technician
- Demonstrate a pleasant demeanor on the job.
- Perform light maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs and air conditioner filters
- Ensure that equipment and supplies are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
Nice to have
- 1-2 years minimum previous general apartment or institutional housekeeping experience preferred, but not required
