About the role
- Unified Change Enablement & UX Leadership
- Establish a shared operating model, roadmap, and success metrics that connect change management milestones with UX quality and satisfaction indicators
- Define and track adoption metrics and success criteria to measure the effectiveness of change initiatives
Responsibilities
- Lead change enablement and user experience as one integrated function, rather than parallel disciplines, ensuring consistent strategy, governance, and prioritization across both
- Own the end-to-end Workmate experience perspective for all major BT-led technology programs - treating adoption readiness and usability as two sides of the same outcome, not separate workstreams
- Ensure decisions in one discipline (e.g., a rollout timeline or communication plan) are made with full visibility into the other (e.g., usability testing results or design readiness)
- Partner with program and project leaders to assess change impacts, build stakeholder readiness plans, and drive adoption across the organization
- Develop and lead communication plans, training strategies, and organizational readiness assessments for large-scale technology rollouts
- Lead UX research, journey mapping, and usability testing to ensure technology solutions meet the real needs of Workmates
- Collaborate with product owners, engineering, and design teams to embed user-centered design principles into the technology delivery lifecycle
- Build, mentor, and lead a combined team of change management and UX professionals operating as a single function
- Partner cross-functionally with HR, Communications, Training, IT, and business unit leaders - including Workmate Experience teams - to align change and UX efforts with broader organizational goals
- Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in change management, organizational effectiveness, or user experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record leading change management for large-scale enterprise technology implementations (e.g., ERP, HCM, CRM systems)
- Strong understanding of UX principles, design thinking, and human-centered design methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to bridge and unify traditionally separate disciplines (e.g., change management and UX) into a cohesive, outcomes-driven function
- Experience with Workday or other major enterprise platforms
- Experience establishing a Center of Excellence for change management or UX
- Familiarity with the Workmate experience ecosystem and how it connects to technology adoption
- We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role).
- Workday is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals during our application process, in order to perform one or more essential functions of their job, as well as regarding the use of AI tools for employment decision-making to any degree.
- Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams
- Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, ACMP)
- Background in Business Technology, IT, or a shared services/enterprise technology organization
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Organizational Development, HR, Design, or related)
- advanced degree a plus

- Establish scalable, unified change management and UX methodologies, tools, and playbooks for use across the BT organization
Compensation

- $175,000 USD - $310,900 USD
- In addition, Workday will never ask candidates to pay a recruiting fee, or pay for consulting or coaching services, in order to apply for a job at Workday.
